Here goes another video shout out to Patrick Gilmore, another fellow graduate who worked hard on his eerie tale of an elderly man and a strange visitor in the short film, The Unwelcome.

Synopsis:

To the inhabitants of a quiet stretch of suburbia, life is simplistic yet flawed. This is no niche of dramatized perfection. From the small, carefree children playing in a yard, to our protagonists, a reclusive old man, these people may lead average lives, but they seem content. Enter a strange faceless salesman, with a very peculiar briefcase. When the residents slowly begin to transform, into models of perfection, it’s up to our withdrawn old hero to fight his fears while also fighting the temptations of a “perfect life”.

And after four short years in college I am officially a graduate and starting a job tomorrow; bright and early, at 7am as a Photo Editor for Cady and Cady Studios in Jacksonville, FL. This should be pretty interesting, I’ve been working on the Lynda.com Photoshop Mastery courses and plan on getting adobe certified while I work this position. With that said, I have another round of photo’s to post from the last quarters escapades. Now it’s times to save some money and get ready for my move to a bigger, more photo-industry-friendly city to work and play in!

P.S.Check out the new portfolio: http://www.krop.com/alphonsowhitfield/

This is a project I did in After Effects CS5. It is an addition to the Tyler, the Creator music video “Yonkers”. In his music video he doesn’t sing the third verse so I did a kinetic type project to it and came up with this.

All programming I did with expressions.

I would also like to reiterate that the beginning of the video is not mine and is the property of Tyler, the Creator and his label. I am just using it as an intro to my work.

Greg PRIME

This is the first video of a web show that examines the struggle between the different nature of ones self.  But it’s also about time travel and it barely touches on that. It’s mainly a couple of time travel themed dick jokes.

Episode 1 “I Cockblock Myself”

Check out this testimonial!

“Wouldn’t be so funny if the actors weren’t so good. So yeah.” - Guy from class

Hope you like! but I’d rather you just view it. Again and again.
If you don’t like it mute it and surf the web and play it again.

HIRED GOONS is a song produced and written by the UK electronic duo EVIL NINE.

In the video I produced I have used the low and foreboding tone of the song to help portray a fictional city and fictional characters based off a place I created in a book my freshman year of college. These characters live in a city which is plagued by corruption and soon find themselves slowly pulled into it in order to achieve their own desires for progression in life, whether in the town or not.

The narrative presented in the video is one of struggle from a reckless and selfish hero. I have been interested in the contrast of struggle between what people feel is right and wrong and what people feel is just or unjust in order to achieve a goal that is positive for the individual in it’s outcome though the process may be unjust or illegal. In the video is not directly discussed but is quickly mentioned through imagery that the politician the main character is working for is working in the drug scene and also the prostitution scene in order to get money to stay in business and that our “hero” is a poor denizen of the city. Though, Much like the politicians are corrupt, it offers the question of whether the main character is corrupt in his actions as well.

As a photographer I have used video as a means of offering this conflict in the best way I could see fit. In the book I produced, there was a narrative directly related to the photographs. I had the choice to include this narrative in some ways but went instead a route that used the music and cinematography to speak for me and allow the viewer to visually piece the story together for themselves in a new way that could support the photographs produced. The last four years as a practicing commercial and documentary photographer have given me the skills to produce a story which could be interpreted in many ways while shot in a voyeuristic style, much like a documentary would be shot.

That video you just posted, well fucking done!

And so, after ten weeks of writing and running around to try and get this project together; here it is!

This is a music video based on a photobook I put together 4 years ago. The script is loosely based off the city in the book, “Fairview Heights” and the seedy characters within it. The city/state if run by corrupt politicians who steal from the poor and build up the rich, never building up the poor. And one day, one of the poorer people in the city must find a way out and decides to do dirty work for these politicians.

Hello all internet blog viewers! How are you today?

Here goes a new round of updates of what I’ve been up to these past few weeks. I got the chance to photograph more products for my Industrial Design major friend Benjamin Wright for his senior project. He has been working for the past 10 weeks on a set of new-age hearing aids that no longer have a stigma of “disability” with them and has given them a new place in the world of accessory and style.

The product he worked on improving was the Oto hearing aid and he has developed a small kit to care for it as well as new design and operation.

With that said, I hope you enjoy more photography!
